A Challenge for You

Good evening! I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. You all came up with some awesome ideas for kits, and I’ve written them all down and I’m going to see what I can come up with to try and meet each one of your requests. First up is going to be a beach kit. Here are the colors for it:

And the challenge is…..name the kit! I’ve gone through several different ideas for names, but none of them are reaching out and grabbing me, so, I’m going to leave it up to you guys! Leave your ideas for names for a beach themed kit with these colors here in a comment by Wednesday at 12:00 Noon CDT, and I will pick one of those names. Wait, wait, wait….I know….you’re thinking “What’s in it for me?” LOL….Well, everyone who submits a name will receive a mini kit bonus add-on to the kit. AND the person who’s name I choose for the kit, will receive an ADDITIONAL add on.  So put on your bathingsuit and swimming cap and leave a comment with your ideas. And don’t forget to leave your e-mail so I can send you your mini kit bonus!

I’m on a bit of a designin hiatus right now, waiting for inspiration to hit me, LOL. So…I have a challenge for you! Give me your inspiration! Give me a theme, color scheme, or just an idea of a kit that you would LOVE to have in your collection to scrap with! I’d love to be able to release a kit a week on average, so leave me a comment with your thoughts or ideas and I’ll see what I can do with them!

Here’s part 3 of the Dad’s Lil Munchkin kit…I truly hope you enjoy it.

Here is the preview for part 1 of the kit….I really hope you like it and can find it useful!

This is totally non scrapbooking related, but I had to share this with you guys! My daughter’s Odyssey of the Mind team won SECOND place at our state competition this weekend! That means that they are moving on to the national/world level competition at Iowa State University at the end of May! I’m sooo proud of her and her team, they did a GREAT job!

And….to top it all off, my daughter was one of three recipients of the OMER award at our state competition. OMER’s Award is named for the Odyssey of the Mind raccoon mascot, OMER, in recognition of individuals or teams who demonstrate outstanding sportsmanship, exemplary behavior, or
exceptional talent. Recipients of this award may be coaches, team members, parents, officials or
anyone else that tournament officials or directors feel exhibit these traits. (That’s the description of the award out of the Program Guide for Odyssey of the Mind.)

I am just so proud of her for getting this award, and of her team for how well they did at competition. Here’s a couple pictures, one is the three girls who stayed for the award ceremony, and the other is dd receiving her OMER award.

Ok, and NOW, lol, I’m sure you’d like to know about the freebie I promised you for this week, LOL. It’s almost done! I should have it up for you sometime tomorrow, so check back then, ok?!? LOL

In the meantime…

Find your rainbow!

Happy Friday!

Wow it has been a crazy hectic week around my house this week! My daughter’s birthday, soccer practice, and getting ready for Odyssey of the MInd this weekend has had us running from one place to the next constantly! I have been working on a new kit for you, but I don’t have it quite ready yet, and I’m heading out of town this weekend, so it will probably be Tuesday or Wednesday before I get it finished and up for you guys. So sorry about that. It’s a kit that’s inspired by my fiance and daughter, but it’s not your “typical” daddy’s little girl kit. It’s designed for those of you who have daughters like mine, who aren’t into Barbie or Disney Princesses or your “typical” girl things. Here is a preview of the color palette to let your imagination run wild, LOL

It’s not your typical girly kit palette, I admit, but that means that it’ll be useful for those of you who don’t have daughters at all, LOL, or those of you who have daughters like mine. I hope you all have a fabulous weekend and I’ll see you all next week!

Another freebie!

Good morning! Today is my daughter’s birthday, so I”m in the mood to give presents! And for you all…I have another freebie today. It was something I was thinking about when I was working on the rainbow kits, and then one of you mentioned something in a comment about wanting some stitched elements, so, In Stitches was born, LOL. There are 20 stitched elements, 12 papers, and a complete alpha in this kit. Now, on the alpha, some of the letters were the same for lowercase and uppercase, so I only did those once, but if there was a difference on the font, you got both in the alpha.

I hope that you like this, and that it is something you can use!

***EDIT….I’m not sure what happened to the link to break it, but it is now fixed. I apologize that it wasn’t working for a few days.

Here is a layout I scrapped today using the kit, just to give you an idea of how it can be used by itself if you wanted to.
